Q: Ok so I have this goal to look toned in a bikini because my marching band is going to Disney World in the spring. I got the gaiam toning kit (Abs and Lower Body). I've been doing them every night, and I feel toned, but I would really like to lose weight.

Does eating one meal a day and doing pilates help weight loss?

I eat like a sandwich, packet of crisps and fruit a day ?? and i dont pilates, and like most days a week i dance for about an hour in my room? vigorous dancing btw lol


make sure that the total calories you eat are at least 1000, below that can get dangerous.

and yes, doing exersize helps weight loss a lot.

Will doing weight training and pilates on different days hinder muscle development and weight loss?

I do weight/strength training 4 times a week with a day of rest in between. I just signed up for pilates and I wanted to know if doing pilates on those days that my muscles are "resting" will hinder or not help my muscle development and weight


the thing to be cautious of here is that weight training and pilates are both designed to tone and strengthen muscle... and in doing so build up muscle mass.

You shouldn't have any major problems doing pilates on your resting days, but
