I am guessing that he says "do you believe in love and life". I heard it at a country restaurant and would start slow and pick up at the chorus. The chorus seemed to repeat itself quite a bit too. I thought he kind of had an Elvis type of
I can only think of Alan Jackson's "Life or Love", although his voice is a far cry from Elvis. (Maybe in a noisy restaurant he could sound a little deeper).
